COULD YOU BE A TUTOR FOR THE WEA?

 

The WEA seeks part-time tutors for classes in Northamptonshire in the following subjects:

Local/general history; music; art appreciation; architectural studies; literature; creative writing; sciences, natural history; religious studies; anthropology; social studies; garden design/history; languages; Skills for Life & ESOL and other areas of expertise.

We are looking for enthusiastic and conscientious part-time tutors who are:

· able to relate well to adult students

· knowledgeable in their subject

· sensitive to equal opportunities issues

· well organised about administration

An up-to-date register of potential tutors is maintained and regular training and support offered to both new and experienced tutors. If necessary, we can help you update your qualifications or achieve a current teaching qualification.

The WEA is seeking volunteers throughout the East Midlands Region to support courses in adult literacy, numeracy, family learning or English for speakers of other languages.We will give training and support. For information, contact Vicki Jones on 01509 262036 or vjones@wea.org.uk
